The school’s Bachelor of Science in Business Analytics degree, which focuses on data-driven decision-making, recently got recognition from the U.S. government as a STEM-designated program. Students learn how to use advanced analytics tools and techniques. As a result, they can extract insights, optimize processes, and drive strategic initiatives within organizations.

Additionally, students can choose a concentration, such as Global Supply Chain Management, which leverages STEM concepts to address the problems of managing global supply chains. To address this need, the Reh School requires all students to complete a course called “Intro to Business Intelligence and Data Analytics.” This course gives students hands-on experience with data gathering and analysis tools including Microsoft Excel and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. Students learn about the value of an ERP system and other tools to collect and manage data. They also learn to use modern analysis tools and techniques to turn data into tactical and strategic information.

In their first semester, Reh students take an entrepreneurship class that requires them to create and pitch a business plan. Clarkson’s Reh Center for Entrepreneurship, Shipley Center, and makerspace to support student entrepreneurs.

Moreover, students at the Reh School learn in a hands-on, global environment. They join student-run businesses and take classes that involve creating business plans and pitching for funding in their first semester. They also participate in a global experience, such as a semester abroad or faculty-led travel classes.
