Long-time supporter of the arts, Foundation president Zenon Post was born in Cyprus and came in to the U.S. in 1953. He attended New York University and the New School for Social Research. He had a long career as a realtor and insurer, and as a professor at Long Island University in Finance and Management Department.
His public service includes District Governor, Lions Club (Bay Ridge, NY); fundraising chairman of Greek Orthodox Charities (Brooklyn, NY); Tarpon Springs Rotary Club; Burnette Society, Florida Hospital North Pinellas; Tarpon Springs Friends of the Library; and Tarpon Springs Performing Arts Center.
Zenon Post has been a generous supporter of music and theatre in Tarpon Springs. He sponsors an annual piano concert by his nephew, world renowned pianist Louis Alvanis, and he donated a baby grand piano to facilitate more chamber music concerts at the Heritage Museum on beautiful Spring Bayou. He joined the Kathleen Monahan Foundation’s first Board of Directors as president in 2011.
